Am I Too Young To Be President?

What is your ultimate goal in life? And what adjustment are you willing to make to meet that goal?

Ambition drives some to take extreme measures. Every life needs a plan and a purpose but who determines your plan and purpose. When  I think about my plan and purpose in life I think about the things I am good at and the gifts and talents God has given me.

It takes maturity to be able to fulfill our purpose here on earth and as i strive to grow and be more mature i realize i have been blessed to have so many teachable moments along the way.

Everything i have done in the past and everything i have learnt was designed to point me towards my destiny.

There is no treasure greater than the love of God. By sending his son to die on the cross for us, he demonstrated his unconditional love for us.

It is his love that leads me towards my destiny.

I would never advocate for personal glory, only God deserves all glory. Nothing we do can ever compare to what He has done.

Leading others to accept and be filled with His love should be our goal. The things of this world will never satisfy us, its only His love, his never-ending love that will satisfy our thirst and hunger for more.

Prayer is our adjustment to life. I have had so many answered prayers that it is impossible for me to deny God’s power and saving grace.

The times i have had people come up to me and remark at how gifted or talented or blessed I am, i believe if it wasn’t for prayer it wouldn’t have been made plain to them.

For the troubles, trials and afflictions I have gone through I give thanks to God for. As Paul says, .”.we know that suffering produces perseverance; perseverance, character; and character, hope. And hope does not put us to shame, because God’s love has been poured out into our hearts through the Holy Spirit, who has been given to us.” (Romans 5:3-5)

I need ambition in order to be driven in life, and the only thing i find capable of keeping me motivated is God’s love.

Money, power and sex are all short-lived in this life, but God’s love will live forever.

The best politicians are confident in the midst of expectation and often find ways of convincing their audience with boisterous statements.

I believe those who have faith in God can achieve the same and attain the highest goal, which is reaching others with God’s love and become presidents of their own destiny. With the knowledge and understanding that every circumstance is designed to strengthen our confident expectation of salvation through our Lord, Jesus Christ.

For once the human spirit is intertwined with God’s spirit hope bursts forth and it is impossible to hide that hope from those around us. Hope, Faith and Love are the only three things that will endure. And the greatest of these is Love.

Lets not deny love, which is our ultimate goal. (1 John 4:7-21)

LIVERPOOL FC-2012 PREMIER LEAGUE CHAMPIONS!

I’ve been following Liverpool Fc since i was six years old back in the humble surroundings of south east Nairobi. My love for football is really second to none. So before anyone opens their mouth piece and starts bellowing opinions devoid of any kind of knowledge of a Phd. calibre on all things football, here is my prediction for the new premier league season and why i believe Liverpool Fc could be premier league champions next year if they can take care of the following:

MIDFIELD

Arsenal have had one of the best midfields in the last few years and a big reason for that is there attacking mentality, talent and ability to keep the ball on the ground and pass it around.

This year Liverpool Fc have invested in three exciting midfield players who can keep the ball as well as open up defences with their passing and footwork.

Charlie Adam, Jordan Henderson, Stewart Downing have all been brought in to strengthen our midfield. With the three starting alongside Steven Gerrard and Lucas, I believe we will have a stronger midfield than Arsenal. In addition there will be Alberto Aquilani, Dirk Kuyt, Maxi Rodriguez, Jay Spearing and Joe Cole on the bench.

STRIKERS

Manchester United boasts the most talented attacking line up in the premier league, on paper. With Wayne Rooney, Javier Hernandez ‘Chicarito’, Berbatov and Micheal Owen (traitor), and Danny Welbeck as cover.

Manchester City have a very young and talented strike force as well.

If Liverpool Fc can match these two teams in terms of the number of goals scored per match then we have a great chance of lifting the trophy. In Luis Suarez and Andy Carrol we have a potent front two, the only problem will be how well we cope in terms of scoring goals when they get injured.

DEFENCE

Chelsea’s defence is the strongest in the league. In Ashley Cole, Ivanovic, Luiz, John Terry and Jose Bosingwa goals will be hard to come by against this well marshalled defence. There is even a chance their defence could score more goals than their strikers. (see, Fernando Torres?)

Liverpool’s defence this season will be stretched a little bit if there is no cover brought in on the left side and in the central defensive area. For as much as i like Fabio Aurelio as a left back, he is very prone to injuries and so is Daniel Agger. If Liverpool can keep both of them fit for long periods of the season then we will have more than a 20 to 1 chance of usurping Manchester United from their perch at the top.

MANAGERS

Kenny Dalglish is a legend at Liverpool and so is Sir Alex Ferguson. Both have won the premier league more than twice and both are of Scottish descent.

A mutual respect is evident between them and their players but more importantly their fans are always behind these two great managers.

With the best supporters in the World, Liverpool Fc holds an edge over their illustrious rivals and this is why my gut feeling leads me to be optimistic about our future.
